Mario Kart Wii (and other online games) ...

It's not fair that the top 3 in most online matches are usually people who didn't use the wheel. If you're going to invent a new control system for a certain game, require ALL players to use it. Otherwise, it's a gimmick. Same for SSBB and other games that can use a Gamecube controller. Pick one, and make it the standard, ESPECIALLY for games that are intense on online matchups. I think the option for you to choose the most suitable controller for you it's something almost every game should have. And it's a shame other games like the ones that have in every console don't have compatibility with the gamecube controller, since the those other consoles just have a classic controller. i dont know why people use the gamecube in MKWII is it because they want to be the best at a video game people play just for fun?
maybe just because they don't like the wheel thing? I never bought any wheel controller for any videogame, I've had already played with a wheel controller in ps2 and I didn't like it. And for SSBB (or even naruto), its useless(and worse) to play with the wiimote, sincerely, it has to have support for the wiimote just because some people might not have the gamecube controller(and this is good, cause you arent forced to buy another controller, I'm just saying that backward compatibility with the gamecube controller is something very necessary for some games), this also goes for almost games that the motion capture and the pointing to screen thing aren't used.
I agree. Allowing other controller types aside from the Wii's standard controller only makes it clear how unversatile the Wiimote actually is.
