Avoid his hands when he slams the ground and use the fire to burn the glob stuff (with slipstream). After you burn the stuff on a hand, jump on the hand real quick and pull the little rock out. Rinse and repeat for the other hand, then use the boulder to hit his head with the next phase and burn/pull the glob stuff on his head.
