it sounds okay, but VC was what made the wii stand out
not only that but the line-up pretty **** Lost winds looks good, than theres just a bunch of cluster duckups afterwordsWhy is WiiWare so anticipated?
There are many short, fun, different games to play. Why is WiiWare so anticipated?
basically for the same reason Apple's AppStore on the iPhone is anticipated - the entire 3rd party community that have been supporting free apps for the last year - everyone likes indie, even tycho.
It's all about independent projects based on new and original ideas
so, count me in!
obviously, there will be a ''small'' amount of shovelware from big and small companies alike, but we as Wii owners are familiar with those things, that's no problem at all, just stay away from those.
Why is it so anticipated? I don't know...

I'm anticipating it for the same reason I enjoy the XBL Arcade or the PS3 Online Store. I also can't wait because we'll be getting download games that aren't 10-20 years old.

I completely ignored the whole WiiWare thing because I was looking forward to Smash Bros Brawl and upcoming Virtual Console games (and other must-have games like Mario Kart Wii and the upcoming Wii Fit). But now that WiiWare is coming out already, I'm curious to see what comes out of it. I'm sure we'll see some great games come out of nowhere. Hopefully we'll have access to detailed gameplay videos from the Nintendo Channel. I'll also be keeping an eye out for WiiWare game reviews before I decide purchase anything (even for Dr. Mario).

This can let them ''Feel the Wii up'' and experiment. It could lead to more and better games.

It's the 80's all over again :D
Experimentation over keeping Your job.
Hm well You either love it or You don't.
Here's a link. I loved my c64.
Here's the amiga. Try to make this with recent games considered 'games' by the 'gaming community'. Notice a few differences?
plus from wiiware we can get downloadable content even though this lineup isnt great people are looking forward to other games coming out
Why is this even a question? It's anticipated becuase it allows more games to be made for Wii. I don't know about you, but I bought my Wii to play games on it. Pretty self explanatory...

it has been released the WiiWare games in your countries yet?
I like wii ware but i do wish that Dr Mario came out today , and i am sure that in the next year or two there be lot of good games
To have more diversity on the library. I play original games and Lost Winds is on my radar. I'll get it next weekend along with River City Ransom. I only have 1600 Wiipoints in the bank.
I think WiiWare is awesome because it's allowing smaller game developers to get their games out there. Big publishers won't release sidescrollers and other 2-D game play games anymore, even if they do have unique controls like Lostwinds. So we would just be missing out on stuff like this if not for WiiWare.Besides, I support indie game developers.
I think it's the potential of WiiWare that's so exciting. For indie developers to be able to expand the horizons of the Wii is pretty incredible....So far, very few big name developers have pushed the Wii in such a way to inspire anything all that jaw-dropping...it's not the Wii's fault, it's the devs and publishers not wanting to take a chance... so I'm hoping for the independent developers to be able to do so.
